We are devastated to announce that all drive-in events in Maidstone’s Mote Park have been cancelled with immediate effect.
Maidstone Borough Council can no longer grant us permission to host the events in Mote Park due to recent government guidance regarding outdoor events.
In our opinion, the guidance is very unclear and is down to interpretation, which is why many of you will see similar events are still going ahead across the country in several major cities. However, Due to recent guidance updates regarding the possible spread of COVID-19 through people raising their voices over loud music or laughing loudly may cause transmission.
Despite all relevant safety paperwork being submitted with no current concerns raised - only praise on how comprehensive our plan was, Maidstone Borough Council has decided to err on the side of caution, which we have no choice but to respect.
It was our goal to deliver hope and joy, giving you guys something look forward to whilst doing our bit in helping the local economy by investing in the town and creating over 100 jobs. All whilst ensuring the safety of our customers and staff and delivering festival quality entertainment for all.
The events industry is one of the most affected sectors due to the ban on trade unlike pubs, which are now open for business.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
We kindly ask you to support us and retain your ticket to be used at the rescheduled show on 17/18 October or alternatively, if still restricted by government guidance, use it at next year’s show which is on 7/8 August.
For those of you that have tickets already for the October show, we kindly ask that you transfer your drive-in tickets to our 2021 event on 7/8 August.
Please note, due to loss of revenues this year, we won’t be in a position to offer Early Bird discounts for any of our 2021 events and therefore transferring your tickets will save you a significant amount.
You do not have to do anything as your tickets will be automatically transferred.
You will receive an email in the next few days fro our official ticket provider Skiddle, containing event cancellation information and refund instructions, should you wish to request one.
You have seven days from the date of the email to request a refund - after seven days all tickets are automatically transferred so please check inbox, junk and spam folders daily.
MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER!
We tried and we failed but we will not be beaten - with your support we will pick ourselves up and go again in October or next year and bring live music and entertainment to the beautiful Mote Park, Maidstone again!
